What defines excellent service? At SCHLAGER, it means delivering solutions when they are needed most – even under the tightest deadlines.

Just before the Easter holidays, we received an urgent request. A customer had acquired a SCHLAGER car bottom furnace from an insolvency sale and needed the entire plant relocated within a window of only two weeks.

Solving Challenges on the Fly
Our team began planning and mobilization immediately. Upon arrival, we faced the first major hurdle: the factory’s overhead cranes were no longer operational. Leveraging our strong partner network, we quickly adapted and organized a 40t industrial crane for dismantling and a 90t mobile crane for the final loading. Technical Precision
To ensure a smooth reassembly at the new location in Wiehl, every electrical and mechanical connection was meticulously labeled and documented. The furnace was disassembled into strategic units, allowing for transport without the need for time-consuming special permits.

Mission Accomplished in Week 16
After days of high-pressure work, we achieved our goal: a total of 41,500 kg of equipment was loaded onto two 40-ton trucks and a flatbed trailer, arriving safely and on schedule at its new destination.
